About This Place

Located at 2800 Montgomery St in Savannah, GA, Bobo Seafood Market is a hidden gem for seafood lovers seeking fresh, flavorful catches at unbeatable prices. This bustling seafood market specializes in takeout-only offerings, making it a convenient stop for those eager to savor authentic Lowcountry seafood without the fuss of dining in. Despite its unassuming exterior situated in a modest neighborhood, Bobo Seafood Market delivers incredible value and mouthwatering quality that keeps both locals and visitors coming back for more.

Customers rave about the generous portions—one seafood boil alone can easily feed a group of four with plenty to spare. The Lowcountry boil is a standout dish, bursting with tender shrimp, hearty crabs, and perfectly cooked conch that highlight the vibrant flavors of Savannah’s coastal cuisine. The seafood is consistently fresh—an essential factor that customers like Latonya Lark and Joaquin “Bizzy” Byrd attest to, with their appreciation for the full, succulent crabs and the rare conch preparation that has become the market’s signature. The option to get a spicy kick with select items, like the spicy conch and shrimp, adds a delightful dimension for those who crave a little heat.

One remarkable aspect of Bobo Seafood Market is its unbeatable prices, where customers feel like they’re getting an incredible deal without compromising quality. Howard Stinson mentions how the neighborhood’s atmosphere allows Bobo to keep prices low and pass savings directly to customers. Coupled with fast, efficient service, this makes for a smooth takeout experience—just call ahead, order what you want, and pick it up quickly before the crowd swells.

While there’s no dine-in option and limited parking available, Bobo Seafood Market’s model suits travelers and locals alike who prioritize fresh seafood and value. It’s worth noting that enjoying some items, like the crabs supplied in the boil, may require some extra tools to crack, which can be a slight challenge for hotel guests without proper kitchenware. But such minor inconveniences hardly detract from the unforgettable taste and quality of the fare.

Whether you’re a Savannah native or visiting for the first time, Bobo Seafood Market delivers a genuine taste of the Lowcountry’s seafood bounty. Its commitment to freshness, portion size, and authentic preparation creates an irresistible experience that seafood enthusiasts won’t want to miss. For a quick, delicious seafood fix that feels like a locals-only secret, Bobo Seafood Market proves why it has been a mainstay in the community for years.

This is one of those places you didn't know you HAD to eat at. It is an absolute must when you are in Savannah. The lowcountry boil is by far the best value at $10 and change and worth every penny! The only downfall is if you are in a hotel, it's hard to eat the crabs that come with it because you don't have anything to crack them open. However, outside of that it is literally to die for food. The amount of shrimp, sausage, corn, potato, and crab you get is unreal. We got it covered in butter and hot sauce and it was amazing. We also got the spicy conch and a deviled egg and oooooohhhh weee. I cannot even tell you how good it is. Be warned, they are cash or debit only. No credit. They will be crowded. There is utter chaos at times, but it is 100% worth it.

Parking spots are very limited, this place only takes orders, no tables. The seafoods here are fresh and delicious, the pricing is reasonable. Personally I like the spicy conch and shrimp for their tenderness and freshness.

When I tell you these people have some great seafood, I mean it. Fresh and the crabs were full. I ordered medium and they were a nice size. The fresh shrimp was good as well. Try to get there early because it gets crowded fast.

I have been coming to this place since I was a teenager. The fact it stands for so long just proves how great the food is. Service is fast and quick. Know what you want as other customers will run straight to the the front of the line. Food is extremely fresh. I have YET to be able to find a place that sells conch in this fashion. If anyone knows of a location that is not in Savannah, please let me know. If you want seafood (blue crabs, garlic crabs, squid, fish, and more) do not hesitate to head over to BOBO Seafood Market.

Fresh seafood and shrimp, along with prepared local favorites like crab balls and low country seafood boil, all for carry out. Stop in on my way home everytie I am in Savannah, with my cooler and ice! Not as 'fancy' as a couple of other places close by, so they keep their prices much more reasonable. Love the local community atmosphere too!

When I went to SSU I would always go to Bobo seafood. This past weekend I was finally back in Savannah and I had to get me a low country boil. Not only do they fill the tray up the price is very affordable and the quality is always fresh. I love their hot sauce as well.
